| The Swiss Cardiovascular
Center Bern is the largest academic cardiovascular institute in the
country. It is headed by a rotating chairmanship among the Chairman of Cardiology (Bernhard Meier, MD, Professor of Cardiology, pictured above), the Chairman of Cardiovascular Surgery (Thierry Carrel, MD, Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery), and the Chairman of Angiology (Felic Mahler, MD, Professor of Angiology). The Center offers all methods of diagnosis and treatment of modern cardiovascular medicine plus a unique academic research unit. It`s staff almost 500 people is dedicated to quality care, teaching, and research. Chief administrator is Andreas Greulich and the center is part of the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland, and the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland. |
