| Dr. Anthony P. Salmon | ||
| Qualified from
Nottingham University Medical School in 1980 and specialised in Paediatrics
and Cardiology in the UK and Australia. Trained in Paediatrics and
Cardiology at the Childrens' Hospital in Melbourne before taking up
the post of Senior Registrar in Paediatric Cardiology at the Birmingham
Children's Hospital in 1987. In 1990 appointed Consultant Paediatric
Cardiologist in the Wessex Cardiothoracic Centre in Southampton. This is a regional Cardiothoracic unit based in the General Hospital, the acute unit of the Southampton University Hospital Trust. The service is fully integrated with the adult cardiac service and all the University and Regional Paediatric subspecialties. During this appointment have developed a special interest in interventional cardiology, but continue to practice all aspects of the specialty with my cardiology colleagues Dr. BR Keaton, Dr. JP Gnanapragasam and Dr. J Vettukattill together with surgical colleagues Mr. JL Monro and Mr. MP Haw. |
